Main Street Art Screen

Fundraising Goal: $9,000

The Main Street Art Screen Project at Memorial Auditorium creates a welcoming downtown gateway and transforms a decaying urban site into a colorful celebration of Burlington’s artists.

The installation features artwork by ten Burlington-based artists that capture the city’s people, places, and landscapes. At its center is a multilingual “Welcome to Burlington” message, reflecting the many languages spoken in our community and reinforcing Burlington’s commitment to being an inclusive place for residents and visitors alike.

The installation builds on the success of a previous iteration while ensuring that the material is durable, graffiti-resistant and designed for long-term outdoor use. As Memorial Auditorium continues through to its next chapter, the project offers a positive and creative presence at one of Burlington’s most prominent intersections, reminding everyone who passes that art has the power to shape how we experience public spaces.

Donations may be made online, or checks or DAF may be sent to Burlington City Arts Foundation, 135 Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401.

Featured Artists: Amanda Amend, Jay Ashman, Giovanina Bucci, Liz Buchanan, Brian Drourr, Kimberlee Forney, Judd Lamphere, Matt Larson, Carrie Marr, and Ken Russack.
